This group was formed to play boule on the ‘piste’, situated alongside Strand Quay. Originally fortnightly, this enthusiastic group decided to play weekly and we emphasis the ‘for fun’ element, as we do not play in competitions. During the summer we occasionally meet in the evening. The group can only play boule throughout the warmer months and the skittles side of things came about, as the group wanted to continue all year. They bought its own set of skittles and are able to play at Iden Village Hall. This has proven to be another popular event, with the group. Numbers are limited, by the nature of the games, but we are always pleased to hear from anyone interested in joining and going onto the waiting list.

Good News ! The Wednesday Boules group is now playing back on Strand Quay as all the works are
finished and we have a brand new Boules Court! Thanks to the Environment Agency who liaised with
us over the size and materials we wanted, we have a much better court than before. It is a metre wider
and surrounded by some hefty sleepers which should last for years to come.
