Lunch Club

Status:No longer meeting
Coordinator:
Mike Wade
When: Monthly on Tuesday afternoons 12:00 pm
2nd Tuesday

Why not join us to enjoy a drink & lunch at a variety of local venues which are usually chosen by members. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal and has proved to be an excellent opportunity to meet and chat about ideas and groups with fellow members. It continues in popularity and met all through the summer with quite a variation in venues and numbers of members attending. Please contact the coordinator about the next activity.

After lockdown, We first met at the Two Sawyers at Pett in May when ten of us came and had a nice lunch outside under a waterproof pergola which wasn't needed! Needless to say it was a good chance to catch up and see how we had survived after such a long break.

Then we met next in June at the Broad Oak Pub. Five of us had another good lunch there.

In July we came back to Rye and met at Laylas, the Turkish restaurant when nine of us were welcomed for a different and very nice meal.

We met for August at the White Dog in Ewhurst when weather again enabled seven of us to eat outside in the fresh air with a view of Bodiam Castle included from our table!

For September six of us met again at another venue we have not used for some while being the Queens Head at Icklesham, where well presented meals were enjoyed again in a historical environment inside as weather was less settled now and we will be continuing to meet each month at a variety of venues.
